It excels in both residential and commercial applications, so there’s not really a reason to not clad your home in ipe shiplap siding.
Each piece of Ipe Shiplap Siding we sell is harvested custom-milled for easy installation. We have four facilities in the United States that mill our ipe shiplap siding for your specific needs. In fact, our milling process ensures greater dimensional stability and results in a smooth, linear look.
If you’re looking for a low-maintenance alternative to Cedar, vinyl, or even metal siding and you need superior mold, decay, and weather resistance, then Advantage Ipe Shiplap Siding is the choice for you.
Step 1: Apply a vapor barrier or housewrap.
Step 2: Attach furring strips 16” apart on center.
Step 3: Predrill for easy installation.
Step 4: Drive a 3” stainless steel screw through the predrilled hole to secure.
Step 5: Predrill the narrow protrusion at the top of the boards.
Step 6: Repeat this process as needed until siding installation is complete.
Long Term Durability
Ipe has been proven to outlast and outperform other siding options in the same installation. This hardwood has a lifespan of over 75 years. Just take a look at the Coney Island Boardwalk or the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Even now, reclaimed ipe from these boardwalks has been reused in other applications such as flooring and furniture.
An Exquisite Look
Plastic and soft wood siding options just don’t compare when it comes to the beauty and durability of hardwood ipe shiplap siding.
